Q: Looking to buy a used 350z but most are automatic, should I hold out for a 6 speed?
I know in the end it’ up to me but I have a real conflicted mind right now… So I have been looking at used 350z Nissans lately and it seems the automatic transmission is much more common, I only found 1 manual for sale and it had too many questionable blemishes to move forward with the price they are asking.
I test drove an automatic, even though in my mind I have always felt this type of sports car simply must be standard transmission I actually must admit it was fun to drive the automatic. In some ways the thought of being able to hop into a 2-seater automatic and just drive without shifting does have a lazy appeal to it but I feel like the truest version of this car has the 6 speed. The automatic had a lot of power and felt like a dart on the highway… If I find one in really nice condition in my price range and it’s an automatic should I just bite the bullet and buy it? Am I being too picky wanting to hold out on a used car for a 5 speed? I’d love to know the shipping numbers on these, it seems automatics outnumber the manual by 5-1 in the used market… overall I think I should buy whatever is in my budget with the best condition regardless of color or transmission but it’s hard to not want the 6 speed.
Any suggestions for this very general situation of used-car shopping?
EDIT: I wrote “5-speed” by accident one time up there, ’twas a typo- I know it’s a 6=speed…
A: Actually 6 speed cars out number automatics. There are more automatics on the market (there’s your sign). Hold out for a shift for your self car you will regret buying a automatic first time at a road racing track or autocross. I do recommend a High performance driving school. That way you become familiar with your Sports Car. Then those owners want me to install headers high flow cats exhaust systems and light weight flywheels stronger clutches and sway bars. a base model 350z is about the biggest bang for the buck in sports car coupes. Base model because you don’t need leather power seats with side air bags. You will want a Sparco racing seat and Stop Tech high performance brakes installed anyway
Q: How much can I get for a salvage car? Help! :/?
I have a 2005 Nissan 350z.28,000 miles, red sporty coupe, no airbags, seat belts not working, front window has a small crack but not bad, the car runs fine. I would like to know how much I can get for it if I sale it private. I’m not sure how much I can get for a salvage car :/ If anyone has any information that can help it will be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance
A: Check out the Kelly Blue Book value, but make sure that you include that it’s not in perfect condition.
Q: buying a car i need you advise please?
ok i was going through orange county craiglist and i saw a 2004 350z nissan roadster for sale. I emailed the guy and he wants 4890 us dollers for it. From what he told me he stated that he was a U.S. sgt and that he had the car stationed in Europe but was selling it here in the U.S. He have me His Car VIN number and I ran the number through the Dmv and the car is registered here in the U.S. he sent me alot of pictures of his car. As far as making the deal happen he wants me to buy the car from his post on ebay and ebay will hold the money until i receive the car from the military unit. Do you guys buy this or do you think this is just a scam. To be honest this deal sounds to good to be true. but i need you advise. If i were to buy the car what should i do so i wont get cheated.
A: if its sounds to good to be true thats because its a scam
Q: Nissan 3.5 V6 petrol Engine, eg Renault Espace, Nissan 350z?
Hi, fancy a Grand Espace, circa 2005.
Test drove a 2.2 diesel auto, no go at all and that was just with me and sales rep on board.
Want to tow my caravan, carry 6 bikes {on the roof} plus wife & kids and enough stuff in the boot for upto 5 weeks away.
The 3.0 and indeed 2.2 Ren diesels keep blowing up, the turbos go pop every 30 to 50k – so I read !!
They also do a 3.5 V6 petrol unit, made by Nissan, as used in the mighty Nissan 350Z and many USA Nissan cars.
The renault Grand Espace 3.5 will do almost 30 MPG on a good day {only a bit less than my old Volvo 2.3 RWD petrol} and goes like stink!! Test drove one, went home to think about it, phoned up to say I’d have it, but been sold 20 mins earlier!!
Does anyone have a 3.5 Esapce or indeed owt with a 3.5 Nissan Petrol engine. – If so any probs with the engine?
I’ll only do 5k to 7k yr in it, so will only cost about £300 to £400 to run more than a diesel. Used pertol versions sell for less too.
Cheers Paul.
A: Hi,
I’ve got a 2005 Renault Grand Espace 3.5 V6 Initiale.
Everything about it is top grade. I could have it packed with seven people and their luggage and it’ll still leave a few Imprezas and Civic Type-Rs behind at the lights! Now, admittedly I’m a quick driver, and always give the Espace a good rev, so when I drive it I average about 21 MPG. My wife regularly gets about 34 MPG though, with her light foot.
Done 62,000 miles so far and nothing has gone wrong with the car, let alone the engine. The Espace really is THE MPV to have.
I would definetly recommend getting the Grand version. Even though it only adds a few inches, it provides more legroom for the rear passengers and also more bootspace. They don’t fetch much more than the normal Espace either.
Hope this helped, and good luck finding another, the Espace will cope with all you’ll throw at it with ease.
Q: Would it Be a good idea to buy this car?
I was on Craigslist and i saw this post do u think its a good idea to buy it or no?..also they posted there phone number too
For Sale: 2004 Charcoal Gray Nissan 350z Touring Edition manual trans with 23500 miles. The 350z has many extras: 5% Tinted windows all the way around with an 8″ windshield brow, Skunk2 2.5″ drop kit, Smoked overlay turn signal covers with white turn signal lights, Carbon Fiber shift knob, Carbon Fiber emergency brake boot, Carbon Fiber overlay on the top gauges and vents, Black form fitted leather ceiling (it blacks out the whole interior), Blue L.E.D. under carriage kit with variable modes, L.E.D. rear brake cover change out kit, Nissan overlay for the third brake light (when you press the brakes the third brake light, lights up “NISSAN”), Engine grounding kit, Interior white light change out kit, Interior Blue Led six stick kit, Blue Interior strobe kit (which has not been installed), and I bet there is more but I can’t recall at this point. The car has had some front end damage which I have talked to an auto body shop and depending where you take it, that it wouldn’t cost more then $3,000 to $4,000 to fix or you can fix it yourself for $1,500 to $2,000. It’s an easy project car for someone and when fixed would blue book @ $14,000. I just had a little baby girl and I don’t see myself having the time nor the cash to put into the car. At this time the title is in process but I will produce a bill of sale to the buyer. I am asking $4,500 cash O.B.O.
Please only serious inquires, you may contact me through my house phone
A: this is a salvage car, tittle is in process?does this mean he bought it at a salvage auction for 400?, and he didnt want anyone to see the price on the auction slip?, so he registered it? this is bull it means nothing, except he is selling a car with no title, which makes it worthless at any price, and “I have talked too” is not a body shop estimate, if I had a car that needed a thousand dollars in work, and it was worth 14 grand, I would fix it. it is not going to blue book at 14, grand with the front end smashed in , and with no title its worthless junk. pass find one that runs good and drives oh YEA and has a TITLE , at least you can go to a mechanic in it.
Q: Help on how to sell my car That I’m still paying for.?
My wife and I are going to have a baby and I need to try to save money. We bought a 2006 350z this past Febuary thinking we had years before a baby, but we were wrong. I now want to stop making car payments and sell the car, but also get cash from the sale to buy a used car so I can drive to work and not make car payments anymore. Please help thank you.
A: there are a few options. 1. try selling the car back to the dealer where you bought the car. 2. try selling the car on your own and see what you can get for it. 3. trade it in to a dealer where they can give you top dollar for the car, turn around a get a less expensive car at the same dealer and it is just a simple transaction. 3. ask the bank where you are financing the car, if they have car auctions where they can list your car and see if they can sell it. 4. you can still sell the car and/or sell the car by stating that the new owner would take over your car payments, then just transfer the title.
bottom line is that you might lose some money in the process or even have to pay some for the reminder of the loan if the car is worth less than when you originally bought it.
Q: Will Car Dealers Do Even Trade Ins?
I purchased a 2007 350z after my previous Civic Si was totaled in a flood. I thought I could manage with only two seats; however, I now realize this was a bad decision. At this point I am looking to trade my Z for an equal value X3 or RDX. Will dealerships offer equal value trades? Obviously I will face sales tax/fees again.
A: They will do an even trade if they get more in value than they are giving.
Typically, you pay retail, they give you wholesale for yours.
Otherwise, they have no reason to trade.
Dealers don’t stay in business by swapping cars of equal value.
Q: The best car for a 16 year old boy?
I get my license in about 30 days and i have no idea what car I want to get. I may be receiving my stepdad’s old 2004 GMC sierra extended cab, but more recently his sister is getting rid of her 1997 acura. My mom has been telling me that I most likely will be getting that car, but I really dont want it. It is white and looks like the most girly car I have ever seen. Also, my stepdad’s father just got a brand new truck and I may be getting his 2000 Ford truck. I can not stand the way Ford trucks look, especially the older models. Not to mention that I am terrible at driving larger cars, I’ve been practicing the entire 6 months on our BMW. Also, I have the option of persuading my dad into buying me a car. But I have no idea what car would be best for me. I’m not exactly sure what price range I have, but I know both sides of my family have a lot of money (my dad buys classic cars almost every week). I get straight A’s and have never gotten a B on a report card to this day, so I feel as though I am deserving of a good car. All of the other “cool kids” and alot of my friends have nice cars to drive to school already. 2 have Hummer H3, one has a brand new 2008 red BMW, there’s a brand new cadillac sedan, and many nice jeep wranglers. There are also alot of Nissan 350z’s. But another thing I have to take into mind is that if I get into the university of my choosing and move out of my city, my stepdad and mom agreed to buy me whatever car I wanted. So I’m stuck on what I should do. I’m afraid that if I have my dad buy me a car, then the chances of me getting a nice nice car when I graduate will go down. But I’m also afraid that if I have to drive the old acura and ford that I wouldn’t fit in and I would have troubles parking it in the tight compact spaces of the student parking lot and end up making a fool of myself. What should I do? I’ve been looking on the Internet day and night trying to find cars for sale somewhere near central California. I really like the Nissan 350z between 2003-2007, and also the madza3 hatchback. I just want a sporty looking car that I can get around town in easily and fast, and that is comfortable for me to drive and that I could call my own. What should I do, and do you have any suggestions on the car I should try to buy?
A: You seem to like cars so I’m going to suggest a 1998 Nissan 240sx. Get this car, learn how to work on it, and upgrade it. Not only will this car go crazy fast but you can smoke every kids car if tuned right and you will earn respect for knowing how to work on a car and not just being spoiled and buying a fastish car. Oh shit you live in Central California never mind because California has stupid laws on modifying a car, you can’t do it. (I live in Santa Monica). I personally would recommend buying a crappy car.
This is what my parents did and it’s making me a better driver. I say spend 5-10 grand on a used car wait till you go to college and get your self a new BMW.
Q: What car would you buy?
I am looking for a new sportier car for myself.
I have around 12000 to spend
I live in Canada
I’ve thought about the rx8 but the reliability and gas mileage turns me off. I have also considered cars like the 350z or the cobalt ss. however i would rather have a rwd car for sure. Im looking for something quick and fun to drive that i’ll feel comfortable bringing to track days.
Yes i have thought about skylines (gtr) and 240sx’s, but these are older cars and are incredibly rare to find unmolested examples for sale. I would rather buy a slower car than run the risk of buying some hackjob 400hp 240sx.
Which one of these cars rx8,cobalt ss, or 350z would you recomend in terms of reliability, upkeep , fun factor, and maintenence.
And of course what other cars am i overlooking that you would suggest?
Note: It will be winter driven, and insurance will not be that big of a deal, though i am a student im not struggling for money
A: Japanese quality has dropped like faster than a politician can lie. They USED to be good but they got greedy and put profit ahead of quality and now they suck.
Get the Cobalt or a Malibu.
Q: Looking for Used car?

A: There are lots of people having the same question like you and yours is just another one. Basically speaking about car insurance
