Q: What should I look for in a car when I search for one on the streets?
I found this white Ford Mustang for sale, while i was looking for parking at my school. Its priced at $2,800 and its the older version of the new Mustangs. When I call for info what should I ask? Im a girl so I dont know much about cars! & the price sounds good!

A: 1. do they have any maintenance reciepts that they could show you to prove the car has been taken care of?
2. how old are the tires?
3. has the car ever been wrecked?
4. Is the check engine light on?
5. Does is have a clear title?
6. Does it have recent emmisions testing papers(if your area requires emmisions testing)
7. When was the oil last changed?
8. Where does the car get taken when it needs oil changes/small repairs? Is there a mechanic who is familiar with the car?
9. Do the windows roll up and down?
10. Does the cruise control work (if equipped)
11. Does the heat/air work?
12. Has the car ever overheated? What was done to fix the car?
13. How many miles are on the car?
14. Does electrical components work well in the car? (door locks, lights on dash)
15. Do the headlights/tailights/blinkers work?
16. How old are the brakes?

22. Has the car ever had a tune up?
23. Does the windshield wipers work?
24. Does the car leak oil?
25. Does the car idle smoothly? at what rpms does it idle?

these are just a few questions i would ask!
and if you buy it, you may want to get a tune up for it…get all the filters changed, all the fluids replaced.
AND ALWAYS RESEARCH THEIR ANSWERS!
like if they say the heat doesnt work, research why the heat doesnt work on the specific car you are looking at! This could help you see if their are going to be future problems with the vehicle and how much it might take to fix!

Ive been driving for about 2 or 3 years and I’m getting a new car. I saw a 96 Mustang for sale and really interested in it.

I guess what are pros and cons for a 96 Mustang?

A: You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here – carquotes.sinfree.net

Q: what engines would fit in a 1989 ford mustang?
‘89 Mustang for sale down the road from my house(should be able to pick it up for about $1200-give or take) just curious to see if it is worth buying to do an engine swap. Right now, it’s the 2.3L engine, and the body looks to be in pretty good shape, as does the rest of the car. Thanks.

A: It also came with a 302 (5.0L), so that would be one choice!
you can look here to find one near you!

Q: Does anyone have a ‘66-68 Mustang for Sale?
I’ve been looking for a ‘66-68 Mustang with a decent price. I can pay $9000 tops…if you have any information on where i can get one i’d sure appreciate it!! Thank you! d=D

I prefer black interior but it doesnt really matter cuz i can always get that done

A: The strongest classic car ad service is usually Autotrader Classics. You can search locally, statewide, nationwide, etc. With your budget, I expect you can indeed find one that won’t be a rustbucket.

Q: Anyone have (or know someone has) a Chevy Camaro or Ford Mustang for sale in the $1000-2000 price range?

A: Man, I hate to tell you this but if you find a Camaro or Mustang with a V-8 in it for 1K to 2K, you don’t even want it. It would be death trap! People who have these cars and appreciate them take good care of them and therefore expect top dollar for their cars. The ones for that kind of money have been hammered to death, wrecked, engines replaced, etc. etc. Now if you plan to build your own, then go for it. If you start with junk, the worst thing you could do is lose some time and a little money. Good luck.

Q: There is a 1965 Mustang Coupe for sale and I was wondering how fast do you think it would go?
It has a V6 302 in it what am I looking at for performance and speed?
engine edit V8*

A: It must be a new engine. There were no 302’s in 65. they had 289’s. And the 302 is a v8.
Faster then you need to go

Q: How much would the insurance be?
I found a 1998 ford mustang for sale. The car is perfect. It has 50,000 miles. It’s in great shape. The engine and body is incredibly clean. Just a few scratches. I’m 18 years old and just wanted to figure out what the insurance would be. I keep trying web sites, but all of the quotes are $100 different than the other ones. So does anyone know?

A: Best bet is to call your current insurance agent for a quote.

At 18, the insurance difference between a V6 and a GT is going to be killer. We’re talking several hundred dollars difference between the cars. Assuming you are looking at a GT (and I hope you are!), you should expect to pay big cash. At your age it’s not uncommon for the insurance payments to be more than the car payment.

You gotta really want the car man because you won’t have much spending money. But your car will be hot!

I’ve owned 4 different GTs over the years and used to pay through the teeth for insurance. But they are worth it because you are only 18 once.

PS…Did you know that there was a body freshing and nice horsepower bump in 1999? Thought you should know since you were looking at a 98.

Q: Anyone have a 1960’s MUSTANG for sale?!?
Im in search for a 1960’s MUSTANG coupe. I would prefer a 1966-1968 but would really be interested in anything. Please let me know, thanks!

A: I’ll part with my 67 Coupe for $12K, CASH ONLY!! Every emotional attachment has it’s price.
