They seems 100% same to me than why Ford charge like 2-3 k more for Explorer huh ?

A: They are completely different styles of vehicles.
The Edge is a crossover and the Explorer is a SUV.
The Explorer is a bigger vehicle.
The Explorer seats 7 people and the Edge only 5
There are many differences.

Q: Reverse Light on my brand new 07 Ford edge is out, is that covered by the warranty?
Bought it New saturday noticed it today. Anyone familiar with Ford warranties is appreciated.

A: Yes. The only things that isn’t covered is normal wear and tear like break pad and belts. Lights shouldn’t go out within the year.

The car is in the music videos that they play in the commercial break…the focus has some kind of body kit and the edge also looks pretty cool….Is it like a special edition focus?

A: Its not any kind of special Focus, just the new 2009 restyling of the 08. Not sure about the Edge, however

A: No they won’t

Q: whats the differencebetween the lowest Ford Edge model and the highest?
The lowest model seemed to have thing the top model didn’t. and vice versa. if you look at the camaro, each model has more features the higher the price gets and the ss has all the features. which edge should i get? and theres really no price difference from cheapest to highest. thank you for all your responses!

A: For the most part. The gadgets, and “luxury” get better. There’s not much. It comes down to how much your willing to pay. The more you pay the more “other gadgets” you get. Go for a mid-range edge. Get one thats not too high price, but not too cheap. But like i said, its basically the same car, just how much are you willing to pay?

I have a 2007 Ford Edge SEL that I need to buy all season tires on. I live in the Boston area where we get icy and snow like crazy and wayy below zero weather. I heard the ContiExpress was a allright all season tire.. can anyone recommend me some tires?

A: consumer reports has the general grabbers as number 1/i put them on and they run great/good ride

I like safety and comfort and lots of leg rrom, and would like a five passenger, what do you think of the 2008 ford edge

A: My grandma bought one, and I drove it and think it is great. Compared to my mom’s 2002 Explorer, the Edge has more room, better fuel economy, better acceleration, and a better ride. The only advantages the Explorer has are it’s better off road and it can tow more. The Edge is night and day better than my buddy’s Chevy Equinox too. In fact, the Equinox is really a joke compared to the Edge. According to every review on the Edge, it ranks up there with the very best crossovers.

In response to the guy above me, the Taurus has a HUGE cabin, trunk, and back seat. It is also the safest car in America. If you don’t need an SUV, the Taurus is a great option. Plus it sits up higher than most other sedans to make it easy to adjust from an SUV to a sedan.

Q: I am having trouble with Ford reparing a new Edge. They have attempted repairs 7 times already.?
I bought a new Ford Edge and since July have had it in the shop over 30 days on 7 different occasions for the same problem. The factory installed subwoofer keeps blowing. The dealership has told me that to replace the vehicle I will have to deal with Ford. Ford is telling me that they can not guarantee that this 8th attempt to repair the problem will work. But they will not replace the car. I am tired of wasting my time trying to get this resolved, what options do I have?

A: You’re probably not going to get a new vehicle because of a blown subwoofer. Try taking it to a different Ford dealership to see if they come up with a different fix. Factory subs are garbage anyway, I would get something aftermarket.

Q: What year did the Ford Edge come out with the full sunroof?
I know that you can get the edges with a sunroof up front and a moonroof in the back. But I have seen some with the full roof out.

A: The Vista Roof has always been an available option on the Edge

I just bought a 2004 Ford Ranger Edge. First truck iv ever owned. I know some people that have Ford Rangers but iv never seen the Edge put on it. What is the difference other than the edge lettering on the side lol

A: Yeah, its just a trim package. Edge comes with alloy wheels, fog lights, monocolor paint, the 4×2 has a 4×4 look and ride height, stuff like that.

Its targeted toward to “youth market” who want a better looking truck but not expensive. it’s basically an XL Ranger with added on appearance stuff. Not as fancy as an XLT.

“Ford’s idea was to create a Ranger version especially geared toward the youth market, and tie it in with the introduction of the all-new 2001 Ranger this coming October. Shown to the public for the first time at the Chicago Auto Show earlier this year, the Edge is so named because it will be a bit “edgier” than the regular Rangers. It will offer a host of features designed to appeal to high school and college-age kids, as well as be affordable.

Drew Cook, marketing manager for Ranger, understood what needed to be done. “Current Ranger buyers are a lot older than you would think,” he said. “The goal of the Ranger Edge is to attract a younger customer into the Ranger lineup. The truck will provide good value; our goal is to market a product that hits on attributes that drives the youth market.”

Simple question, will the factory 6-disk in dash CD/MP3 player in my wife’s 2008 Ford Edge play music in WMA format?

A: It will specify in the owners manual the formats for the cd player.

Q: I have a question about the Incentives for the new 2009 Ford EDGE?
I just bought a 2009 Ford Edge. My question is that the incentives were $4000 or 1.9% for 72 months. Now they got me 3.9% for 72 months so technically shouldn’t I get the $4000 in rebates. Cause the Dealership didn’t give them to me… Just wondering if anyone knows that would be great. Thanks

A: You didn’t qualify for the “A tier” financing due to credit issues. On the “B tier,” you still took advantage of the bought down rate, and that keeps you from being eligible for the rebate money. It is a little late to be asking that question, though. Once you drove off the lot, the deal was final. Enjoy your new car. They are nice. Good luck.
